Seems like pre-fight cuts are a family affair.

In news that will shock no one, or at least no one familiar with a Tyson Fury fight week, the sh*t hit the fan earlier today in Riyadh when the slightly-insane John Fury went off the rails (again) and uncorked a headbutt on a member of Oleksandr Usyk’s team, splitting himself open and forcing security to intervene.

Or as John likes to call it, “Monday.”

Tyson Fury is the reigning WBC heavyweight champion and will face off against Usyk, who holds the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles, in a 12-round showdown for the undisputed heavyweight crown on Sat., May 18, 2024 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Fury’s withdrawal from their original date of Feb. 17 marks the second time his Usyk title fight has been delayed, which is why promoters included a $10 million pullout clause for their upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) bonanza, which features a fancy new belt designed specifically for this contest.

No apology needed.
