“Sweethands” was a little slow on the unofficial trigger, resulting in a cut, as well as an early 1-0 lead for “Canelo” heading into their Nov. 2021 showdown.
Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Caleb Planet came face-to-face for the first time earlier today (Tues., Sept. 21, 2021) during a pre-fight press conference at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, Calif., to promote their upcoming title unification fight.
And it didn’t take long for all hell to break loose.
During the traditional face off, Alvarez and Plant got into a war of words, which really seemed to bother Alvarez, prompting him to violently shove Plant across the stage. Plant stormed back and swung at Alvarez, who smoothly evaded the strike and delivered a lightning quick one-two combination on Plant, cutting him under his right eye.
Here’s another look at the full exchange:

Alvarez is the current WBA, WBC, WBO and Super Middleweight champion and is looking for the final piece of the puzzle to become the undisputed king in the division by taking Plant’s IBF Middleweight strap.
The title fight is scheduled to take place on Nov. 6, 2021, inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. And following today’s wild turn of events, you can expect this bad blood rivalry to be the hottest ticket in town.
