Antonio Carlos Junior will look to make it six in a row on May 18.
After a recent bout scrapping at UFC London, Ian Heinisch already has a new fight lined up.
The rising middleweight is set to meet Antonio Carlos Junior at UFC Rochester, Combate reported Thursday. The event takes place May 18 at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York.
Carlos Junior most recently defeated veteran fighter Tim Boetsch at UFC on FOX 29 last April. Carlos Junior, a jiu-jitsu specialist, is riding a five-fight winning streak after a 2-2, 1 NC start to his UFC career. The Brazilian was expected to take on Derek Brunson and later Elias Theodorou (twice) in bouts scheduled for the second half of 2018, but all three pairings were canceled.
Heinisch made his Octagon debut late last year, defeating Cezar Ferreira via unanimous decision at UFC Bueno Aires.
He was slated to fight Tom Breese on short notice at UFC London last Saturday, but Breese pulled out of the contest on fight day due to medical issues.
UFC Rochester will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Rafael dos Anjos and Kevin Lee.
