When Shane Carwin steps into the cage this December to face fellow “The
Ultimate Fighter 16” coach Roy Nelson, he will have had 18 months to
mull over one of the biggest regrets of his life.

Carwin believes all the talk surrounding his alleged cardio issues in a
July 2010 loss to Brock Lesnar led him and his coaches to over-train for a
June 2011 fight with Junior Dos Santos.

Now he’s going back to basics and says it’s his natural gifts that will ultimately provide him the edge.
