Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion, Henry Cejudo, may start looking over his shoulder now that UFC 248 has officially wrapped. That’s because “Triple C” witnessed the return of undefeated 135-pound phenom, Sean O’Malley.
“Sugar” beat the brakes off longtime veteran Jose Alberto Quinonez on the UFC 248 “Prelims” card, which took place last Sat. night (March 7, 2020) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, a first-round shellacking that barely lasted two minutes.
“I don’t know if it’s true but I heard Cejudo peed his pants a little during my fight,” O’Malley wrote on Twitter. “Lolz.”
Cejudo (15-2) is already booked up for the foreseeable future, having recently put pen to paper for a UFC 250 title defense opposite Jose Aldo this May in Brazil. Waiting in the wings are top contenders, Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling, among others.
The good news is, O’Malley (11-0) has plenty to keep himself busy.
“He looked incredible after a layoff,” UFC President Dana White told TSN (transcribed by Adam Martin). “You know, when you think about how he had time to heal, he had a minor surgery when he was out, worked on things. He looks really good and I’m looking forward to getting him back in there quick.”
As are we.
