“The King of Cringe” continues to chase historical accomplishments for himself.

UFC Norfolk’s headliner was supposed to determine a new flyweight champion. But Deiveson Figueiredo’s weight miss made him ineligible to win the title, despite a second-round TKO win over Joseph Benavidez.

With the 125-pound division still lacking a champion, Henry Cejudo considers this past weekend’s outcome as a successful title defense for himself.

“I am the only fighter in human history to defend my belt on the couch,” he told TMZ Sports. “So remember guys, it’s the ‘Triple C’ weight division. You guys can all get it.”

While he does recognize Figueiredo’s efforts, Cejudo also criticized the Brazilian for missing the mark on the scales.

“I thought it was unfortunate, I thought Figueiredo should’ve made the weight,” he said. “It was a bit of a cheat against Joe, but he did connect that punch.

“Joe did lose, but Figueiredo did not win.”

Figueiredo says he is willing to grant Benavidez a rematch out of respect. Cejudo, however, also wants a piece of him and Jose Aldo in one night.

“Oh absolutely (I would fight Figueiredo). Like I said before, man, my whole message is I would like to get him and Jose Baldo on the same night,” he said. “Co-main event and main event. Allow me to make history.”

Cejudo will travel to enemy territory when he defends his bantamweight title against Aldo at UFC 250 on May 9th.
