Another Team Alpha Male member has been added to the UFC on FOX 9 card.
Chad Mendes will meet Nik Lentz on Dec. 14 in Sacramento, Calif., FOXSports.com reported on Tuesday.
Mendes (15-1) enters the bout on a four-fight winning streak, most recently finishing Clay Guida in the third round at UFC 164. “Money,” who fights out of Sacramento, is undefeated since losing a featherweight title fight to Jose Aldo in Jan. 2012 at UFC 142.
Lentz (24-5-2, 1 NC) is on a three-fight winning streak. He last beat Hacran Dias via unanimous decision at UFC on FX 8 in May.
The event, which will be headlined by Anthony Pettis vs. Josh Thomson for the UFC lightweight title, will take place at the Sleep Train Arena, home of the Sacramento Kings. Mendes’ Team Alpha Male Member teammate Urijah Faber will fight Michael McDonald in the co-main event.
