Champ Pat Curran vs. Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire set for Bellator 73 on Aug. 24

Bellator featherweight champion Pat Curran will attempt to make the first defense of his title when he meets season-four tournament champ Patricio “Pitbull” Freire.

The title bout is set for Bellator 73, which takes place Aug. 24 as the finale of the promotion’s “Summer Series” series of events.

A venue was not announced for the fight, which airs on MTV2.
