Conor McGregor recently booked himself against Dan Hooker.

“Notorious” nominated the lightweight “Hangman” during a bareknuckle boxing event earlier this month in Spain, and considering the power-punching Irishman is the biggest draw in MMA, Hooker wasted little time in accepting the invitation.

Now they just “have to get UFC on board.”

‘’Conor’s a very flavor-of-the-week kind of guy,” Michael Chandler told Ariel Helwani. “He just had a conversation with Dan Hooker; like, ‘Hey man, I like you, you like me, we can make some magic, let’s fight each other.’ So, I looked no further than that, honestly. I don’t think the UFC is going to be very keen on McGregor versus Hooker compared to McGregor versus Chandler since we need to make this fight happen, so I’m not really that worried about it.”

McGregor is expected to make his UFC return “in early 2025.”

Chandler was attached to a McGregor fight for the better part of two years but the bout never came to fruition. “Iron” insists he’s still the “Notorious” frontrunner if he’s able to win his Charles Oliveira rematch at UFC 309 next month in New York.
