See who else is competing at Triller Fight Club’s Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren event on April 17.
On April 17 youtuber turned 2-0 pro boxer Jake Paul will take on 0-0 boxer (and former Bellator and ONE welterweight champion Ben Askren on Triller’s latest celebrity combat sports offering.
Paul is coming off the sensational KO of former NBA player Nate Robinson, which happened on Triller’s last event (Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr.). Askren retired from MMA in 2019 after back-to-back losses to Jorge Masvidal and Demian Maia.
The co-main event for this event will be former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir making his boxing debut opposite former IBF cruiserweight champion Steve Cunningham. Mir was originally scheduled to face Antonio Tarver, but Tarver failed to get licensed for the event.
On Friday the rest of the card was announced. Among the fights are a bout between former pro Joe Fournier and Colombian raggaeton star Reykon. The rest of the bouts feature established pro boxers. All the fights will by contested over eight rounds, except for a fight between Regis Prorais and Ivan Redkach, which will be 10 rounds.
