Khamzat Chimaev wants to fight Israel Adesanya for the middleweight title.
UFC newcomer Khamzat Chimaev feels he’s ready to challenge Israel Adesanya for the middleweight title.
The undefeated welterweight and middleweight prospect called out Adesanya following ‘The Last Stylebender’s’ stunning second-round TKO of Paulo Costa at UFC 253.
Borz is ready for the hunt and grab what belongs to him. @stylebender

“Borz is ready for the hunt and grab what belongs to him. @stylebender I am ready, make this happen @ufc @danawhite @seanshelby @mickmaynard2,” Chimaev posted on Twitter following Adesanya’s second title defense in the UFC 253 main event.
Adesanya has yet to respond, but it’s highly unlikely the Nigerian-New Zealander will give ‘Borz’ the time of day. Chimaev made his UFC debut in July and has already won three in a row, but the Russian-born Swedish fighter will have to fight a top contender before he challenges Adesanya for the title.
Adesanya extended his win streak to 20-0 (9-0 UFC) and called out top-three middleweight contender Jared Cannonier in his post-fight interview.
“Jared Cannonier, I love his energy, he’s a beautiful man. I said, ‘You destroy Robert Whittaker, you’re next.’”
