The C.B. Dollaway vs. Cezar Ferreira UFC on FX 8 fight has all of sudden turned into Chris Camozzi vs. Rafal Natal.
First, Dollaway pulled out the bout due to an injury, which led to Camozzi stepping in. Following that switch, Ferreira got injured, which led to Natal replacing him.
So now Camozzi vs. Natal will take place on the May 18 card in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Sources close to the fight confirmed the switch, and Camozzi later wrote about it on his blog.
“Natal lobbied on Twitter to fight me after UFC 158,” he wrote, “and it looks like he gets his wish. See you in Brazil.”
Camozzi (19-5) has won his last four fights in a row. He most recently defeated Nick Ring via split decision at UFC 158 last month.
Natal (15-4), nicknamed “Sapo,” got back on the winning track at UFC on FOX 6 in January when he defeated Sean Spencer via third-round submission.
UFC on FX 8 will be headlined by Vitor Belfort vs. Luke Rockhold.
