Canadian lightweight Chris ‘The Polish Hammer’ Horodecki (18-3) is set to fight on the prelim card of this weekends Bellator 57 event. At the Canadian show, he’ll square off against Mike Corey (11-2), who takes the fight on two weeks notice.

Horodecki had been scheduled to meet Ricardo Tirloni at the upcoming November event, but Tirloni was forced out due to an rib injury suffered while training.

Bellator officials confirmed the news on Monday with several news agencies, including Sherdog.com.

Bellator 57 is scheduled to take place on Nov. 12 at Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario, Canada. The Horodecki vs. Corey bout will be featured on the Spike.com live webstream which is expected to start at approx. 5pm EST. The main card will air live on MTV2 beginning at a special time of 7pm EST (4pm PST).

Horodecki debuted with Bellator last July, earning a unanimous decision over Chris Saunders at the Bellator 47 event. That was his second straight win and puts ‘The Polish Hammer’s’ record at 4-1 in his last five. The Canadian was released from the WEC last December after a submission loss to Donald Cerrone at WEC 53.

Corey is riding a five fight win streak and holds a record of 9-1 over his last ten matches, but the St. Louis fighter hasn’t seen action since last January. Corey had his last win at the XFO 30 event on January 22nd, earning a decision win over Tom Ahrens.
