UFC women’s strawweight contender Claudia Gadelha talks about how she expects it will be to record the next season of The Ultimate Fighter with Joanna Jedrzejczyk, and says even the champion knows she lost their first fight.
Claudia Gadelha finally got her long desired rematch the current UFC strawweight champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, but before they meet in the Octagon, they will have to endure a whole season of The Ultimate Fighter as opposing coaches.
For Gadelha, though, the biggest challenge will be not losing her temper during the recordings.
“The tricky part will be putting up with Joanna,” She told UFC Brasil. “I’m certain she will try to get under my skin to mess with my head, but I will be prepared for that. I hope I have enough patience not to put my hands on her.”
As for the rematch itself, Gadelha is still a firm believer that she should have walked out victorious when the pair first met back at UFC on FOX 13 in December 2014.
“It’s not just me, but everybody wants this fight to happen. I know I didn’t lose that fight, I think about it all the time. I’m sure every time she puts her head on her pillow before going to sleep she knows she lost to me. She can’t run away from me, she will have to prove she is the best strawweight in the world.”
Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Claudia Gadelha are scheduled to fight on July 8th in the main event of the TUF 23 Finale, in Las Vegas.
