Clay Guida wants another fight against Nate Diaz, whom he faced at UFC 94 in 2009.

One of the featured fights at UFC 94 in January 2009 was a lightweight fight between Clay Guida and Nate Diaz. Guida won via split decision, but both men took home an extra $50,000 for Fight of the Night honors.

Nine years later, “The Carpenter” is calling for a second fight against the younger Diaz brother for UFC 225 in Chicago, via a recent Instagram video he posted.

Hey Natalie. Want a Rematch? I’ll see you in “The 312” ChiTown. Unless you’re scared. Oh, and don’t forget to bring your Painkilling Weed Pen. You’re gonna need it… Homey!!! #dontbescared@natediaz209 @danawhite @seanshelby @ufc

“Yo, what’s up 209 bitch? Yeah, I’m talking about you Nate Diaz,” Guida said. “We scrapped it out about nine years ago, but maybe it was a fluke. So, what do you say we do it one more time for the fans?”

“And when you sign on that dotted line before you get in the cage, make sure you get real, real high this time. So when I spike you on your head and put you in a full nelson like last time, you won’t feel a thing. See you in Chicago, homie.”

Since Diaz was involved in the two Conor McGregor fights in 2016 and became one of the biggest “money fighters” in the UFC, a lot on the roster have begun calling him out. The most notable one was welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, who was even 100% confident that Diaz would be his next opponent, only to be shut down by UFC president Dana White himself.

Diaz has yet to respond to Guida’s callout, but already make it clear that he would only come back if he was “approached respectably.”

UFC 225 is slated to take place on June 9th at the United Center. Two of the bouts that are reportedly being targeted to be part of the said card is a rematch between middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero, as well as a fight between Chicago native CM Punk and Mike Jackson.
