Cody Garbrandt would like to return to the octagon against Jose Aldo.
There’s mutual interest in a bantamweight matchup between UFC standouts Cody Garbrandt and Jose Aldo, with both men teasing of a potential bout via social media.
Garbrandt responded to Aldo on Wednesday after ‘Scarface’, via an Instagram story, urged ‘No Love’ to ‘sign the contract’.

“We doing this @josealdojunior,” Garbrandt posted. “@danawhite we both say send the contracts”.
Garbrandt hasn’t fought since his stunning second-round knockout of Raphael Assuncao at UFC 250 to snap a three-fight skid while Aldo is looking to build up some momentum following his unanimous decision win over Marlon Vera at UFC Vegas 17.
Garbrandt, the former UFC bantamweight champion, was initially expected to challenge Deiveson Figueiredo for the flyweight title in November but was forced to withdraw from the contest after suffering a torn bicep and contracting COVID-19.
With both men itching to get back to the octagon and work their way back into title contention, expect an official fight announcement in the coming weeks.
