Combate Americas

On the heels of its successful “Tito vs. Alberto” pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend in Hidalgo, Texas, Combate Americas has announced its upcoming debut in San Juan, Puerto Rico, by way of Arena Coliseo on Sat., Jan 25, 2020. Priced from $50, tickets are now on sale at TicketeraPR.com.

Leading the charge will be seven-division boxing champion Amanda Serrano (1-0-1), who looks to build on her submission win over Erendira Ordonez last October. Hoping to spoil the return of “Real Deal” is another pugilist in the form of Dahianna Santana (0-0), who will make her “La Jaula” debut in hopes of avenging her 2017 loss to Serrano in the “sweet science.”

“Not since I brought the UFC to San Juan almost two and a half decades ago, has there been a major MMA television event in Puerto Rico,” said Combate Americas CEO and UFC co-founder Campbell McLaren, who executive produced UFC 8 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, back in Nov. 1996. “Combate Americas is going to change that at the beginning of the New Year.”

Additional fights for Combate Americas’ debut event in Puerto Rico will be announced soon.
