BKFC 6 will feature one of the most unique and, perhaps, useless striking gloves of all time.
BKFC 6 will combined traditional striking gloves with a bare knuckle flair.
The Florida State Boxing Commission’s Communications requires all fighters to wear some sort of glove. There is no requirement, however, on the design of the glove. The commission’s director explained how BKFC in Tampa, Florida would operate in a statement published by Adam LeBarr.
“The statute does not require the glove looks a certain way or even cover the knuckle. All the statue requires is the glove be a certain way, be sanitary and in good condition,” the statement read. “The executive director of the Florida State Boxing Commission has the discretion to approve all equipment, including gloves. Accordingly, the commission has approved a glove for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship that leaves the knuckles exposed.”
“It (the glove) will have knuckles exposed,” the director assured.
