After an injury scrapped their 2013 contest, the promotion will once against try to book a fan-friendly showdown between Carlos Condit and Matt Brown.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will try, as requested, to book a welterweight showdown between longtime veterans Carlos Condit and Matt Brown, according to MMA Fighting, for the promotion’s Jan. 30 fight card in a location to be determined.
Condit (31-13) recently snapped a dreadful five-fight losing streak by outworking 170-pound bruiser Court McGee at UFC on ESPN 13 back in October. “The Natural Born Killer,” who turns 37 in just a few months, has 28 finishes in 31 victories.
Brown (22-17) is quickly approaching his 40th birthday and like Condit, has been trying to snap out of his recent funk. “The Immortal” is coming off a technical knockout loss to Miguel Baeza last May and has now dropped six of his last nine.
The Jan. 30 fight card doesn’t have a headlining bout just yet, but several other fighters are currently attached to the lineup, including Roxanne Modafferi, Ike Villanueva, Jerome Rivera, and Jeffrey Molina, just to name a few.
