Conor McGregor issues statement on his recent arrest that made headlines.
On Monday, the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida on charges of strong-arm robbery and criminal mischief. The charges carried bonds of $7,500 and $5,000. This is all after McGregor allegedly took a man’s cell phone and smashed it.
McGregor broke his silence on the arrest when he issued the following statement on his official Instagram account:
“Patience in this world is a virtue I continue to work on,” McGregor wrote on Instagram. “I love my fans dearly. Thank you all.”
This is the latest setback for McGregor, who has a history with the law. Unfortunately, it’s likely that his UFC return will be pushed back as a result of this arrest.
McGregor had been linked to a showdown against Donald Cerrone on July 6th as part of International Fight week in Las Vegas, Nevada at the T-Mobile Arena.
