Conor McGregor offers some support to former interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson after some troubling news came out this week.
Both fighters have been in the news this week for two different reasons. The former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion for smashing the phone of a fan.
On Monday, McGregor was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida on charges of strong-arm robbery and criminal mischief. The charges carried bonds of $7,500 and $5,000.
On the flip side, Ferguson for some incidents with his wife. Ferguson’s wife filed a restraining order against her husband. According to the court documents, there is an investigation scheduled to occur March 22 with a domestic violence hearing on April 5. It should be noted that just because this order was issued doesn’t mean that Ferguson is guilty.
McGregor took to his official Twitter account where he wrote the following:
“Tony Ferguson is the type of guy that when all the chips are down, can pick them right back up again and come back stronger than ever! Came back from a debilitating injury in record time to give us one of the fights of the year! Let’s go Tony!!”
