Conor McGregor responds to ‘bollocks’ reports of threats on his life: ‘Come and get me’

Conor McGregor responds to rumors about being in danger after allegedly punching a cartel member during a bar brawl on Sunday night.

Conor McGregor’s latest controversy outside the Octagon is speculated to have turned sour. Witness accounts claim that “The Notorious” punched a man during a bar brawl on Sunday night in Dublin.

It is believed that the man he punched is a member of the Kinahan cartel, and according to crime reporter Paul Williams, the incident may have put McGregor’s life in danger.

Conor McGregor is potentially in very, very serious danger, I hear that from my sources and from looking at the lay of the land. He has ended up crossing swords – accidentally or however – with some very, very heavy people, or some people who are related to some very, very heavy people who could pose a very serious threat to his safety, and potentially his life. And I don’t say that lightly.

According to IrishCentral.com, rumors have circulated online stating that McGregor has been in hiding in Lanzarote as his father dealt with the cartel to straighten things out. But on Thursday afternoon, the UFC lightweight champion disputed all these reports by making an appearance at the Blanchardstown District Court in Dublin, where he pled guilty to a speeding charge last March.

After settling his €400 fine, McGregor finally spoke out about the supposed threats on his life.

“It’s all bollocks,” McGregor told a group of photographers as he left the courthouse. “I thought I was in bleedin’ Lanzarote?”

When asked how he felt about the supposed threat from the cartel, McGregor offered a simple response.

“Come and get me,” the Irish fighter said, as he sped away from the venue.

The UFC has not taken any action on the issue, but president Dana White is assured that they will be able to work their way around it if needed.

“Can’t be a good thing for Conor,” White said during a media luncheon on Tuesday. “But you never know. I didn’t know those guys or any of that stuff. But I’m sure it can be worked out, too. Jake LaMotta’s brother beat the shit out of a wise guy, too, and they figured it out.”
