Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz staredown pic, INTENSE video from UFC 196 press conference

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held a special UFC 196 press conference on Wednesday, bringing together Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz for the first time since rubber stamping their upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) main event, taking place on March 5, 2016 inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Catch the video replay here.

McGregor will put his quest to capture the lightweight title on hold while Rafael dos Anjos heals his broken foot, and will instead try his luck in the welterweight division — despite holding the strap at 145 pounds — to account for the short-notice change in opponents (while avoiding this).

Speaking of which, McGregor and Diaz did not disappoint with their first pre-fight staredown:

Poor Dave Sholler — in place of UFC President Dana White — was sweating the entire time (with nightmares of this).
