Cormier slams ‘f–k up’ Jon Jones for being proud of failed drug test for cocaine

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier sounds off on Jon Jones for bragging about a failed drug test.

There’s no love lost between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones. Their heated rivalry dates back to 2014, when the two light heavyweights were booked to fight at UFC 182.

“Bones” earned a dominant unanimous decision victory over “DC” but it was revealed that that Jackson-Wink fighter had tested positive for cocaine prior to the bout. Jones’ failed drug test marked one of many problems the 28-year-old faced outside of the Octagon, including a hit-and-run which Jones pled guilty to in September.

After being suspended and stripped of the light heavyweight title, the Albuquerque-based fighter was recently reinstated to the UFC roster and will rematch Cormier for the belt at UFC 197.

The two rivals engaged in a back-and-forth Twitter exchange on Thursday, (h/t Brad Popkin of MMA Mania) which saw Jones mock Cormier for beating him after failing a drug test.

The former Olympian didn’t take kindly to Jones’ comments and roasted him for bragging about testing positive for cocaine.

Failing drug test is really something to be proud of. Hats off buddy ur a compete fuck up and proud of it. Good on u https://t.co/MVJCCU1HYC
