Bethe Correia expressed her dislike of Miesha Tate and would fight her under any circumstances, even without a title on the line.
Bethe Correia is back to her trash talking ways as she prepares to square off with Raquel Pennington next Saturday. However, as she told Combate, “Rocky” is not her target – Correia once again aimed at the female bantamweight champion, who now is Miesha Tate.
According to Correia she has unfinished business with Tate, which she would very much like to finish.
“I see Tate as a vulnerable champion. I don’t see her keeping the belt for too long. I don’t see her skill level being that much higher than those of the other girls in the weight class. Not to mention I don’t like her. I have unfinished business with her and that’s something I want to deal with.
“I won’t stop fighting until I sort this out and make her swallow everything she said about me for over a year. I will fight her, for the title or not. It can be a prelim, a catchweight fight or in my backyard, it’s a matter of honor. But I’ll leave all that aside for now in order to focus on Raquel.”
Bethe Correia will take on Raquel Pennington in the preliminary portion of UFC on Fox 19, on April 16, in Tampa, Florida. The card will be headlined by a clash of light heavyweight veterans Glover Teixeira and Rashad Evans.
