After UFC 254 Paulo Costa claims he wants to fight Robert Whittaker in his next UFC fight.
After the former champion’s recent win at UFC 254, top middleweight contender Paulo Costa has called out Robert Whittaker for his next fight.
Whittaker is fresh off an impressive decision win against Jared Cannonier this past weekend at UFC 254. Defeating Darren Till by decision in July, Whittaker is unbeaten since October 2019 when he lost his title to current champion Israel Adesanya.
Meanwhile, Costa (13-1) is coming off the first loss of his professional career to Adesanya at UFC 253. The Brazilian had won five straight UFC fights at 185-pounds before the loss.
Hey Robert Whittaker enjoy your end of year, you deserved. When you come back we can do amazing fight

“Hey Robert Whittaker enjoy your end of year, you deserved,” Costa wrote. “When you come back we can do amazing fight.
Whether Costa will get his shot at the former champion remains in question, as UFC president Dana White said he likes of the idea of a rematch between Whittaker and Adesanya. However that is also an uncertainty as Adesanya has pondered going up to 205-pounds for his next UFC fight.
