If it doesn’t come out of Donald Cerrone’s mouth, don’t believe it.
Donald Cerrone says he is the only one who has the authority to speak on his preparation for UFC 246. “Cowboy” denied rumors that he was working with Duke Roufus in preparation to fight Conor McGregor at UFC 246.
“Those reports are not accurate,” Cerrone told MMA Junkie. “I’m not sure where that came. I heard it also. I’m like, ‘Oh, I guess I’m going to Duke Roufus’, huh?’ It’s just another clickbait from you guys. I love you media motherf—kers. Anything you guys can grasp your f—king hands on you’ll do it.”
When told that the news “came from the horse’s mouth,” a.k.a Roufus-himself, Cerrone asserted that the only person who knows Cowboy’s plans are Cowboy. It seems the fan-favorite fighter will mostly train out of his BMF Ranch.
“I’m the f—king horse,” Cerrone exclaimed. “I say I’m going nowhere. Same old song and dance (for this training camp), baby.”
Cerrone (36-13) welcomes back McGregor (21-4) in the main event of UFC 246 on Saturday, Jan. 18.
