Donald Cerrone expects Conor McGregor to unleash hell at the upcoming UFC 246 pre-fight press conference, because talking trash and playing psychological games with his opponents is what “Notorious” does best.
He’s even better than Muhammad Ali, according to this aging fanboy.
That’s why “Cowboy” isn’t getting too worked up about the Irish word play that awaits him next week in Las Vegas, but also cautions there are some lines that cannot be crossed — unless McGregor wants to get his ass whooped in the hotel lobby.
“He’s the best at it,” Cerrone told MMA Fighting. “The thing is, you’d really have to go low, talk about my grandma or my kid and then it would put it on another level. You understand what I’m saying? Then I’ll just come fuck you up in the lobby type shit. I don’t think it’s ever going to go that way. He understands that. We’re fighting, he can talk about that all he wants, but don’t low blow.”
McGregor has no problem going after family members for no other reason than to make his opponents fight emotionally as opposed to tactically. His most recent efforts included the wife of Khabib Nurmagomedov and the son of “Eagle” manager Ali Abdelaziz.
There was also talk of red panties, but that pales in comparison.
Cerrone and McGregor will collide in the UFC 246 pay-per-view (PPV) main event a week from Sat. night (Jan. 18, 2020) in a welterweight battle set for T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. See the entire UFC 246 fight card and line up by clicking here.
