Joe Rogan is out, Dominick Cruz is in.
With Rogan benching himself for international pay-per-view (PPV) cards, the promotion will call upon the former bantamweight champion to handle color commentary for the upcoming UFC 305 pay-per-view (PPV) event, locked and loaded for Sat. night (Aug. 17, 2024) at RAC Center in Perth, Western Australia.
That’s according to MMA Junkie.
Cruz will also be part of the UFC 305 weigh ins show on Friday night, alongside Dan Hellie as well as former UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and ex-featherweight titleholder Alex Volkanovski. Cruz and Cormier will anchor longtime play-by-play man Jon Anik on fight night, with special guest Din Thomas.
Chael Sonnen, Laura Sanko and Anthony Smith will serve as desk analysts.
UFC 305 will be headlined by the middleweight title fight pitting current champion Dricus Du Plessis against former titleholder Israel Adesanya. Elsewhere on the card, it’s a battle of Australia vs. New Zealand as one-time flyweight title challenger Steve Erceg collides with 125-pound veteran Kai Kara-France.
