Rising welterweight striker Curtis Millender will return at UFC 232 in December.
A compelling welterweight fight has been added to the UFC’s final event of 2018.
MMAjunkie confirmed on Monday that Curtis Millender will take on veteran Siyar Bahadurzada at UFC 232 on December 29th in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC officials have not formally announced the fight, although that’s expected soon. The night’s main card airs live on pay-per-view, while the prelims will be split between FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.
Millender (16-3) is on an eight-fight winning streak, with two of those victories coming under the UFC banner. “Curtious” Curtis wowed fans with a KO of former welterweight title challenger Thiago Alves in February, then took apart Max Griffin by unanimous decision at UFC 226.
Bahadurzada (24-6-1) has won his last three, prevailing by KO against Luan Chagas with a brutal body kick and punch at UFC Atlantic City in April. His other wins during this successful run are a TKO victory vs. Rob Wilkinson at middleweight, as well as a submission of Brandon Thatch at welterweight.
UFC 232 is headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson. The co-main event is a women’s featherweight title bout between Cris Cyborg and women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.
