A huge mural was currently painted in Derbent City, Dagestan paying tribute to Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov — father of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov — who passed away earlier this year due to several complications brought on by COVID-19.
The original piece was created by none other than “Bosslogic” — one of the absolute best digital artist in the game today — shortly after Nurmagomedov submitted Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 (see it again here).
After the fight, “The Eagle” announced his retirement from the fight game stating that he promised his mother he would not continue his combat career without his father by his side. A few weeks alter, UFC President, Dana WHite, hinted at the possibility of Khabib returning for one more in order to fulfill his father’s desire to go out at a perfect 30-0.
“Bosslogic’s” work — real name Kode Abdo — His work has been featured in Invicta FC, as well as Marvel’s “Endgame,” among others.
