Dana White: Cris Cyborg is ‘definitely’ fighting at UFC 214

Let’s hope they checked with her this time.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White is bringing featherweight smashing machine, Cristiane Justino, to the Octagon as part of the upcoming UFC 214 pay-per-view (PPV) event, set for July 29, 2017 in Anaheim, California.

“Cris Cyborg is definitely fighting on the July 29 card in Anaheim,” White told UFC Unfiltered podcast (via MMA Junkie).

No need to be mad anymore.

There’s just one teeny, tiny little problem. And it’s the same problem the Brazilian has every time she wants to step inside the cage.

No opponent!

The leading candidate was Invicta FC featherweight champ Megan Anderson; however, the hard-hitting Aussie was instead booked to face Helena Kolesnyk this July in Kansas City (more on that here).

And UFC featherweight champion, Germaine de Randamie, is running back to 135 pounds.

No telling what White and Co. have in store for Justino (let’s agree this would be a hilarious choice), but at least she won’t have to face death to battle a puffed up bantamweight.
