Dana White: Donald Trump may be present at UFC 205

UFC president Dana White reveals that president-elect Donald Trump could be in the house for UFC 205.

A lot of eyes are on UFC 205 this weekend and a lot of VIPs are expected to attend, but according to UFC president Dana White, we could see one of the biggest VIPs of all – president-elect Donald Trump.

In a brief interview with TMZ Sports, White revealed that both parties had discussed Trump attending the event, which Trump said he would be present at if he won the election.

“Donald originally told me he that would come to the fight, if he won,” White said.

“I don’t think Donald really realized what his duties were gonna be had he won. I think he’s meeting with Obama today and then I don’t know. We’ll see, man.”

“Listen, no pressure to come … but it wouldn’t suck if he came.”

Dana White has been friends with Donald Trump for quite some time, and even expressed his support while speaking at the Republican National Convention in July. Since winning the highest office in the nation, White states that the two have not spoken since, but White did attend the victory party earlier this week.

“His family reached out to me that night. I was in my hotel room, you know, watching the results, and they had, they had me come down to the (victory) party. So i went to the party, that night and, uh… and uh, they’ve been very good to me, so good luck to him.”

Trump may still be able to attend even though he was in the nation’s capital to meet with current president Obama to discuss the transition process. Seeing how Trump has had alliances with MMA in the past, perhaps he may show up after all.
