Dana White has cold-blooded message for Jose Aldo after ‘Junior’ demands Conor McGregor rematch

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion Jose Aldo insists he’s been quiet following his first-round knockout loss to Conor McGregor, which took place at the UFC 194 pay-per-view (PPV) event last month in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Perhaps he forgot about last week’s media scrum (watch it), or the interview before that when he revealed the promotion’s “secret” deal to move up to lightweight (read it), or the time he asked for an immediate rematch because everyone else was getting one (silence broken).

Or maybe something got lost in translation AS USUAL.

Nevertheless, the Brazilian doubled-down on his rematch demands and recently vented on his official Facebook account, explaining how he’s done enough for the promotion throughout his storied mixed martial arts (MMA) career to get whatever he wants.

His words:

“Hi everyone, I was quiet for a while, because I was waiting for my rematch. In fact, I was already training for it, based on how the fight went down. But apparently I was wrong. So I wanted to make something clear to the UFC: for everything that I’ve done, everything I’ve accepted, and mostly how the fight ended, I will not accept any other fight other than a title shot. My only exception would be fighting Conor McGregor. At any time, anywhere, and since he is scared and knows that I’m gonna win… It doesn’t even have to be title fight against him. You can keep my belt. What I want is to whoop your ass. Again: any time, anywhere. Dana White, Lorenzo Fertitta, keep your word. I still believe in the company that I work for.”

McGregor is already booked for UFC 196 and still has Frankie Edgar to consider.

In addition, promotion president Dana White is turning a deaf ear to anything Aldo-related, probably because of all those comments about Reebok being a shitty sponsor and fighters needing a union.

“It’s one of those things,” White told comedian Jim Norton (via JOE.co.uk). “We made the fight the first time and he got hurt and had to pull out. Then we made it again and it ended in 13 seconds. It’s tough to make that fight again right away.”

It will be interesting to see if he has that same attitude toward this potential do-over.
