Is Alexander Gustafsson going to fight against Gegard Mousasi on Saturday, or isn’t he?

That question raged throughout the Internet on Easter Sunday as news surfaced that Gustafsson had suffered a facial laceration during training leading up to the planned UFC on Fuel 9 main event in Stockholm, Sweden.

But as of this writing, at least, the clash of elite light heavyweights is still a go.

Sunday night, UFC president Dana White broke a day-long silence and told MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani that as of now, the fight is still on. “The [Swedish Mixed Martial Arts Federation] has not said he can’t fight, and he wants to fight,” White texted Helwani.

Previous reports had indicated that Gustafsson’s cut would take three to four weeks to properly heal.
