Dana White shoots down Michael Bisping vs Georges St-Pierre fight after ‘Count’ reveals secret UFC 206 negotiations

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Michael Bisping set Twitter ablaze on Tuesday night after telling his followers he verbally agreed to fight self-proclaimed free agent Georges St-Pierre.

“I verbally agreed,” Bisping wrote on social media. “They’ve been negotiating this fight for the last few days.

Bisping has been calling for a St-Pierre fight ever since he captured the crown from Luke Rockhold back in June (proof). While “Rush” competed exclusively at 170 pounds under the UFC banner, the former welterweight kingpin has not ruled out a trip to 185 pounds.

And appears to be open to fighting the brash Brit with his crazy new choke, based on these comments.

There would be no better place for the French-Canadian to return than UFC 206, as the “Cormier vs. Johnson 2” pay-per-view (PPV) event takes place this December inside Rogers Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

“There is no Bisping vs. St-Pierre fight in Toronto,” UFC President Dana White told ESPN. “I know Mike wants it, but it’s not happening.”

He wants it because of this.

St-Pierre has a contentious relationship with White ever since he skipped town in late 2013. While fences appeared to me on the mend as recently as last summer, the UFC sale threw a monkey wrench into the GSP comeback plans.

For now.
