It doesn’t look like that Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm fight will happen any time soon.
Representatives for the former boxing world champion and undefeated mixed martial artist met with UFC president Dana White recently.
According to the UFC boss, things didn’t go so well. MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani reported on Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight on FOX Sports 1 that the meeting was “not good at all.”
Holm, who trains at Jackson’s MMA. went 33-2-3 in boxing. She’s 6-0 in MMA and is scheduled to fight Juliana Werner to crown the first Legacy FC women’s bantamweight champion on April 5.
Of course, that doesn’t mean this is a dead issue, as just a month ago, White went on UFC Tonight to tell Gilbert Melendez to “start looking elsewhere” during contract negotiations, and Melendez is now signed with the UFC.
But as of now, it doesn’t look so good for Holm in the sport’s biggest company.
“Not interested whatsoever,” White added.
White also said that despite the recent flood of speculation, the UFC has held no talks with Gina Carano, who is contracted to Zuffa through her old Strikeforce deal, about a return fight.
