Daniel Cormier is undoubtedly one of the biggest Khabib Nurmagomedov cheerleaders around, as the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) captain sees just what “The Eagle” brings to the table, day in and day out.
That dominance was on full display last Saturday night (Dec. 30, 2017) when Khabib absolutely bulldozed Edson Barboza in the co-main event of UFC 219, beating the Brazilian from pillar to post for a full 15 minutes (see it again here). And he did it while taking Edson’s best shots when he was able to pull the trigger.
That’s why “DC” says it’s going to take more than one well-placed punch from Conor McGregor — or anyone else, for that matter — to put the bear-wrestling Dagestani to sleep.
70-80% Conor would have to knock him out or he would be in trouble. And I don’t know if anyone can knock him out unless he gets kicked in head or knee. No punch will do it. https://t.co/cHPShK6IoM

If and when he does face Conor, he better come with more than that “dog shit” performance in “Sin City,” according to “Notorious.”
Khabib has yet to taste defeat throughout his mixed martial arts (MMA) career, going a perfect 25-0 (9-0 UFC). In fact, Nurmagomedov has yet to be in any kind of trouble in any of his fights.
That said, a title fight against McGregor doesn’t seem to be on the horizon anytime soon, as “Notorious” is in no hurry to return to action unless UFC and Endeavor reach deep into their pockets to pay him his worth.
An interim title fight against Tony Ferguson, though, seems more likely.
