World Extreme Cagefighting officials appear intent on making sure the
promotion’s first trip to Ohio is a memorable one, and the company has
added an intriguing matchup to an already loaded card.
The company today announced a lightweight matchup between exciting
prospects Anthony Pettis (8-1 MMA, 1-1 WEC) and Danny Castillo (8-2
MMA, 3-2 WEC) for “WEC 47: Bowles vs. Cruz.”
Featuring a bantamweight title fight between current champ Brian Bowles
and top contender Dominick Cruz, WEC 47 takes place on March 6 at
Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
