UFC veterans Danny Castillo (16-6) and Isaac Vallie-Flagg (14-4-1) are expected to clash in a lightweight bout at UFC 172, promotion officials announced Thursday.
UFC 172 takes place April 26, 2014 at Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, MD.
A longtime Team Alpha Male product, Castillo, 34, most recently saw his two-fight win streak snapped as Edson Barboza mounted a gutty comeback to steal away a majority decision victory at UFC on FOX 9.
Castillo holds a 6-3 record since entering the UFC’s lightweight division, including wins over Joe Stevenson, Anthony Njokuani and Tim Means.
Likewise Vallie-Flagg, 35, most recently saw his own win streak snapped, as Elias Silverio outworked the Strikeforce veteran en route to a unanimous decision victory at UFC Fight Night 35.
Prior to the setback, Vallie-Flagg had racked up five consecutive wins, including Zuffa victories over Yves Edwards, Gesias Cavalcante and Brian Melancon.
