A pivotal light heavyweight bout will go down in Tel Aviv.
A bout between a former champion and a rising prospect is headed to Bellator’s upcoming event in Israel.
Ex-light heavyweight titleholder Phil Davis is set to take on Vadim Nemkov, MMAjunkie reported on Saturday.
Davis (19-4, 1 NC) has won two in a row since losing the title last summer to fellow former UFC contender Ryan Bader at Bellator 180. “Mr. Wonderful” is coming off a knockout win over Linton Vassell and a decision over Leo Leite.
Nemkov (9-2) is coming off the biggest win of his career. In February, the Russian 26-year-old defeated former Bellator champ Liam McGeary via third-round TKO. Riding a four-fight winning streak, Nemkov, part of Team Fedor, hasn’t lost since April 2016 at Rizin FF 1.
The upcoming Bellator event takes place Nov. 15 in Tel Aviv, Israel. In the main event, featherweight champion Patricio Freire defends his title against Emmanuel Sanchez.
