Sergio Mora issues a stinging response to Daniel Cormier on social media.
Many fans seem to think Saturday night’s contest between Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs was a lot closer than DAZN’s commentary team would have led the audience to believe.
Alvarez, whose lone defeat in the boxing ring came to Floyd Mayweather Jr. back in 2013, won a unanimous decision (115-113, 115-113, 116-112) to win the IBF middleweight title, but it wasn’t quite the blowout Sergio Mora and Brian Kenny portrayed in the commentary booth.
One man who wasn’t impressed with Saturday night’s commentary was reigning UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, who put Mora and Kenny on blast for ruining the fight.
Brian Kenny and Sergio Mora really suck! Canelo won but Danny fought a good fight man wtf they ruined the fight.

“Brian Kenny and Sergio Mora really suck! Canelo won but Danny fought a good fight man wtf they ruined the fight,” Cormier posted on Twitter.
That’s when Mora, the former WBC light middleweight champion, issued a brutal comeback to ‘DC’, teasing the former light heavyweight champ over his loss to Jon Jones.
Sorry you thought I sucked champ. I think your striking sucks. Let me work with you so @JonnyBones doesn’t kick your ass for a third straight time. https://t.co/p0yHZtN1I9

“Sorry you thought I sucked champ. I think your striking sucks. Let me work with you so @JonnyBones doesn’t kick your ass for a third straight time,” Mora fired back.
There’s much anticipation surrounding a trilogy fight between Cormier and Jones, but it’s expected that Cormier will go on to defend his heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 241 in August. Cormier, who was knocked out by ‘Bones’ at UFC 217 (overturned to a No Contest after Jones tested positive for PEDs), originally KO’d Miocic to win the heavyweight strap at UFC 226.
Jones, who also beat Cormier via unanimous decision back in 2015, is expected to defend his light heavyweight title against Thiago Santos on July 6 at UFC 239.
