They’d both made weight on Friday and were ready to go, but UFC middleweights Derek Brunson and Ed Herman won’t be fighting on the UFC on FOX 13 preliminary card as previously scheduled.
As first reported by Ariel Helwani on the Fox Sports 1 broadcast, Brunson was struck by an onset of food poisoning Saturday and was ruled ineligible to compete.
Brunson took to Facebook to apologize for his inability to compete:
