Desmond Green was charged with two counts of DUI manslaughter last June in relation to a five vehicle collision that killed two people.
Former UFC fighter Desmond Green has been jailed after he allegedly violated terms of release in regards to a pending DUI manslaughter case (per Aaron Bronsteter of TSN). Green, 30, was charged with 20 criminal counts last June over an August, 2018 five-car collision that killed two people in Broward County, Fl.
Green is facing charges that include two counts of DUI Manslaughter (Unlawful Blood Alcohol Level), four counts of DUI Serious Bodily Injury, five counts of DUI Property Damage, and single counts of Possession of Cocaine, Felony Driving While License Suspended, Fail Wear Safety Belt/Operator and Careless Driving. Green has plead not guilty to all charges.
Green was released from jail after posting bond of over $180,000. A condition of his release was that he “not drive or get behind the wheel of a vehicle” (per public records).
Bronsteter reports that Green spent last night in custody after being arrested for violating those terms of release. Green is reportedly due to face a hearing this morning and then again on March 6th.
According to public records in Broward County the State of Florida filed a motion to revoke Green’s bond on January 28th. In its motion the State alleged the following:

In their motion the State asked the court to “immediately revoke” Green’s pretrial release agreement and any bond previously set and to incarcerate Green without bond.

The news of Green’s alleged violations comes days after Chechen based MMA outfit ACA announced it had signed Green to a fight contract. Green had also reportedly been offered a bareknuckle fighting contract by Valor Bare Knuckle.
Green first fought in the UFC in April 2017. In his debut he defeated Josh Emmett via split decision. He competed for the UFC three more times before the fatal collision in August 2018. After that crash he competed for the UFC three more times. His last fight was against Charles Jourdain at UFC Fight Night: dos Anjos vs. Lee on May 18th, 2019.
