For UFC light heavyweight prospect Phil Davis, the
decision to take a UFC 117 fight with Rodney Wallace on just a little more than two-weeks’ notice was an easy one.
As far as the 25-year-old is concerned, the only real question was, “Why not?”
“I really wish I had an eight-week camp, but at the end of the day, it’s
fighting,” Davis told MMAjunkie.com Radio. I
try to keep myself in some pretty decent shape, and I try not to slack
off on my training. I really feel like I got called up at a good time.”
