Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal are set for their first press conference to promote their upcoming welterweight bout at UFC 244.
Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal will square off for the first time on Thursday, as both men are set to attend a UFC 244 pre-fight press conference in New York to promote their highly anticipated welterweight bout at Madison Square Garden.
The press conference will take place at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York, per the UFC’s official Twitter account.

Masvidal vs. Diaz was announced just a couple of weeks after Diaz’ unanimous decision win over Anthony Pettis at UFC 241, where Diaz called ‘Gamebred’ out in his post-fight interview at Anaheim’s Honda Center. Diaz has fought just twice in the past three years but is considered one of the biggest stars in the UFC. The Californian will take on Masvidal for the ‘BMF’ world title.
Masvidal, an ex-street fighter from Miami, Florida, is also riding a wave of momentum following two consecutive knockout wins over Darren Till and Ben Askren. The 34-year-old KO’d the latter in record-breaking time (five seconds) at UFC 239 this past July.
UFC 244: Masvidal vs. Diaz is one of the most stacked pay-per-view events of the year and is scheduled to take place on November 2 at Madison Square Garden, NY.
