SAN JOSE, Calif. – Strikeforce welterweight champ Nick Diaz said the key
to beating K.J. Noons came down to picking a discipline and sticking to
it.
That is, he needed to make clear decisions about when to strike and when to work on the ground.
Diaz admitted he didn’t do that fully when he met Noons this past
Saturday at “Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Noons 2,” but he did it just enough
to earn a unanimous-decision victory and defend his 170-pound belt for
the first time.
