Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw will make his Octagon return against No. 2-ranked contender Cory Sandhagen in the upcoming UFC Vegas 26 main event on May 8 inside the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas.
And he’ll do it as the +145 underdog.
That’s according to BetOnline.ag, who pegged Sandhagen as the -170 betting favorite. Dillashaw (16-4) is coming off a sizable suspension from United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and hasn’t seen action since losing to Henry Cejudo back in Jan. 2019.
As for Sandhagen (14-2), he’s won nine of his last 10, including back-to-back knockout victories over Marlon Moraes and Frankie Edgar. Defeating Dillashaw is expected to grant “Sandman” the next crack at the bantamweight crown.
Once these two get done fussing over it.
Also putting in work at the May 8 “Fight Night” event on ESPN are longtime veterans Donald Cerrone and Diego Sanchez. Cerrone is a whopping -600 favorite over the aging “Nightmare” (+450), who is expected to retire from UFC after his “Cowboy” fight.
