Former UFC bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz has issued a response to Henry Cejudo.
It doesn’t look like Dominick Cruz will be ‘bending the knee’ to Henry ‘Triple C’ Cejudo anytime soon.
Cruz, the former UFC bantamweight champion, responded to Cejudo’s bizarre callout in a recent Instagram post, claiming that the current UFC flyweight and bantamweight champ simply isn’t in his league.
‘The Dominator’ also took a dig at Cejudo’s longtime coach, Eric Albarracin.
“@Henry_Cejudo – You’re not in my caliber or class lil man. You and your lil coach @Cptamericas,” Cruz posted.
Cruz, 34, has been sidelined with a plethora of injuries for the past three years and it’s not known when the Alliance MMA product will return to the cage. The MMA veteran was originally expected to take on John Lineker at UFC 233 but was forced to pull of the bout after sustaining a shoulder injury in training.
Cejudo’s next bout is expected to be contested at flyweight, where the Olympic gold medallist will defend his 125-pound title before presumably moving back up to 135-pounds to defend his bantamweight title.
