“No, I’m good. No, I’m fine. I just kicked a pad funny, it was just a funny nothing, you know,”
In case you haven’t seen it yet, Donald Cerrone was spotted walking with a limp on the latest UFC 246 embedded episode, which led some MMA fans to speculate that ‘Cowboy’ had suffered an injury in the lead-up to his welterweight bout with Conor McGregor on Saturday.
Addressing the media at a UFC 246 pre-fight media scrum, however, Cerrone said there is nothing to worry about but admitted to hurting his leg while kicking the pads during fight week.

“I knew that was going to come up. People are good. Put a little limp, what if I was walking with a drawl? Or maybe I stepped on a Lego? I got a kid now. No, I’m good. No, I’m fine. I just kicked a pad funny, it was just a funny nothing, you know,” Cerrone said, per Fernando Quiles Jr. of MMA News.
Cerrone is one of the most active fighters on the UFC roster and rarely, if ever, pulls out of fights. So, even if the MMA veteran is injured, don’t expect Cowboy to withdraw at the last minute.
UFC 246, which will feature McGregor vs. Cerrone as the main event, takes place this Saturday, Jan. 18 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
